When these histories were written in the mid-1970's, the Rodvold siblings did not have the luxury of word processors, spell checkers, or on-line grammatical tools. Rather, these stories were composed on typewriters with minimal correcting ability.
These histories were scanned in and run through optical character recognition (OCR) software. During the proof reading sequence, changes to grammar could have been made, but this would have been untrue to the flavor of the original documents.
So please look past the prose that is less polished than that to which you may be accustomed, and enjoy the stories which are contained therein. They are truly echoes of a simpler time.
Finally, during the scanning of these documents, inadvertant changes to the original contents have probably occurred. As these are identified, these pages will be updated to correct any such errors.
